NYSC Releases Call-Up Numbers for Batch C: How to Check

The wait is finally over for Prospective Corps Members (PCMs). The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has officially released the call-up numbers for the Batch C service year.

If you recently completed your online registration, this is the moment of truth. Seeing that unique number on your dashboard confirms that your mobilization process was successful. You are officially in the system.

Here is exactly what you need to know about checking your status, understanding the camp capacity limits, and preparing for deployment.

How to Check Your NYSC Call-Up Number

You do not need to wait for an email notification. You can verify your status immediately through your personal dashboard.

Follow these exact steps:

1. Visit the official NYSC registration portal.

2. Enter your registered email address and password to log in.

3. Scroll down to your dashboard's "Basic Details" section.

4. Look just below your email address. Your call-up number will appear right there.

This same number will eventually print on your official Green Card and your Call-Up Letter. Always verify this directly on the portal. Do not rely on screenshots sent by third-party cyber cafes.

Understanding the Number Format

Your call-up number is not just a random string of digits. It tells a specific story about your mobilization.

Take a look at this example: NYSC/UNN/2026/123456

• NYSC: Identifies the National Youth Service Corps scheme.

• UNN: Represents the institution you graduated from (e.g., University of Nigeria). Foreign-trained graduates usually see "FRN" here.

• 2026: Indicates your mobilization year.

• 123456: This is your unique identification serial number.

You will need this specific sequence for various administrative clearances inside the orientation camp. Write it down securely.

The 40% Camp Capacity Rule

Many graduates log in and find empty dashboards. Panic usually sets in. Before you assume something went wrong with your registration, understand the current deployment logistics.

NYSC orientation camps are currently operating at approximately 40% capacity for this batch. The management is deploying PCMs strictly based on the order of registration.

If you registered late, the system might push you to the next available stream or batch. This happens automatically. You do not need to pay another fee or register again.

Troubleshooting a Missing Call-Up Number

If your friends have their numbers and you are still waiting, check a few common culprits before worrying.

Your Next Steps

Once your number drops, things move quickly. The portal will soon open for the printing of actual Call-Up Letters. That document will reveal your state of deployment and your specific orientation camp address.

Start gathering your mandatory documents. You will need your original statement of result, school identity card, and medical fitness certificate. When filling out your camp arrival forms, ensure your home address details are perfectly accurate. You can verify your exact local routing using the new Nigerian postal code directory to avoid administrative headaches later.

Use this waiting period to plan your career trajectory. The service year flies by. Some graduates use the time to study for professional exams, while others plan bold international career moves, much like Amaka Peace Chiemezie transitioning from an HND to the US Air Force.

Get your white shorts and tennis shoes ready. Your national service is about to begin.
