Nigeria elects a president on 16 January 2027, alongside 109 senators and 360 members of the House of Representatives. Candidate lists will be added as INEC publishes them.
To win outright, a candidate needs the highest number of votes overall and at least 25% of the vote in two-thirds of Nigeria's 36 states (24 states). If no candidate meets that threshold, the top two go to a runoff.
